One day, a few years back, I got an email from a colleague of mine, asking if I had time to meet up with this young kid to do a session. The first song I heard on his Soundcloud, was a song called “Cut Me Loose” and it blew me away. This guy, 18 years old, just captured feelings in a song, like I’ve never heard before, and got me thinking of greats like Paul Simon and Paul McCartney.

His name was Nicklas Sahl and he changed my life. We started to collaborate daily, and I soon spent all of my time in the project. “Artist Bootcamp 1.0” we called it, a very ambitious project to develop Nicklas and his sound bit by bit, into a new great singer/songwriter of today. We signed Nicklas to Warner Music in January 2018,
and in April we released our first song “Hero”. Today, six years later, Nicklas stands as one of the most important young artists in Denmark, with a multi-million stream count, several platinum and gold plaques, heavy radio impact and a thriving live business.
